Luis Figueroa is a multi-talented GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter who has re-energized tropical Latin music for new audiences. After his YouTube cover of Marc Anthony’s Flor Pálida gained substantial attention in 2014, Luis Figueroa went on to sign with Magnus Media, Marc Anthonys entertainment company, in 2016. That same year, Figueroa received the ‘Favorite Hispanic YouTube Cover Artist’ award at the Premios Juventud for ‘Flor Pálida,’ performing live alongside Marc Anthony and pianist Sergio George, a pivotal moment in establishing his presence in the Latin music industry. Figueroa began uploading song covers to YouTube in 2008 while studying at Berklee College of Music, and filmed the musical series Guerra de ídolos in Mexico, portraying an urban artist and singing its theme song.
Demonstrating sustained impact, Figueroa’s single ‘A Escondidas’ set a record for most top 10 hits on Billboard Tropical charts in the 2020s as of March 2024. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the New York International Salsa Congress in 2024. His album ‘Coexistencia,’ released in 2024, secured two Latin GRAMMY nominations for Best Salsa Album and Best Tropical Song for ‘Llorar Bonito,’ a track that topped the Mediabase Tropical chart and reached #3 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart. The EP ‘Gris’ is slated for release in 2025.
