Iyanya

Iyanya has transitioned from a reality television show winner to an award-winning Afropop artist and television judge, shaping the next generation of musical talent. After winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa in 2008, Iyanya went on to release his debut album, ‘My Story,’ via CN Media Imprint in 2009. While the album showcased his R&B versatility, it faced commercial challenges due to distribution and promotion issues. A pivotal moment in his career arrived with the release of his second album, ‘Desire,’ in 2013, which featured the globally successful single ‘Kukere.’ This track significantly increased his popularity and marked a strategic shift in his musical style towards Afropop.

Maintaining his consistent musical output, he released ‘The 6th Wave’ in 2022, further showcasing his artistry and expanding his discography. In 2025, Iyanya further expanded his multifaceted career by becoming a judge on the widely popular Nigerian Idol, leveraging his extensive industry experience and artistic journey to mentor emerging musical talent. The same year, he released his project ‘The Forester’s Son,’ reaffirming his position as an influential and dynamic force in Afropop and entertainment.
