Achieving a second-place finish in the fifth season of NBC’s ‘America’s Got Talent’ in 2010, Jackie Evancho quickly established herself as a formidable classical crossover talent. Her independent debut album, ‘Prelude to a Dream,’ released in November 2009, preceded her national exposure which led to a record deal with SYCO Music and Columbia Records. Her first major label release, the EP ‘O Holy Night,’ became the best-selling debut album of 2010, making her the youngest solo artist to chart in the top 10 and go platinum in the U.S. This success continued with her full-length album, ‘Dream with Me,’ which debuted at No.
2 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2011. That same year, Evancho became the youngest person to perform a solo concert at Lincoln Center in New York City. Evanchos career demonstrated a consistent output of critically acclaimed albums and significant milestones. In 2011, she was named Billboard’s Top Classical Albums Artist and became the youngest artist to debut in the UK top 5.
Her 2019 album, ‘The Debut,’ reached No. 1 on the Billboard Classical Albums chart as her eighth consecutive. Evancho continued to explore diverse artistic avenues, including a prominent appearance as ‘Kitty’ on Fox’s ‘The Masked Singer’ in 2020. In 2022, she released ‘Carousel of Time,’ a dedicated tribute album to the iconic Joni Mitchell.
Demonstrating evolving artistry and songwriting prowess, Evancho most recently released the new EP titled ‘Solla’ in 2024, which delves into pop music while maintaining her classical roots.
