United States Kilo Kish is an American singer-songwriter and visual artist known for her experimental hip hop and art pop music, and extensive collaborations with notable artists and fashion brands.
In 2014, with French Music Label/Brand Kitsune, she released Across, which is a conceptual project chronicling her drive across America in August of 2013.

Lakisha Kimberly Robinson, known professionally as Kilo Kish, was born on May 10, 1990, in Orlando, Florida. She attended Glen Rock Elementary School in New Jersey before returning to Orlando, where she graduated from Winter Park High School. At the age of 18, Kish received a scholarship to the Pratt Institute in New York, later transferring to the Fashion Institute of Technology for textile design, from which she graduated in 2012. Her entry into music began when her roommates established an in-home studio, leading to collaborations with Matt Martians of The Internet during early projects.
Kilo Kish officially began her musical career, releasing her debut EP, “Homeschool,” on April 2, 2012. The EP received positive critical reception, with Complex labeling it one of the best albums of 2012. This was followed by the mixtape “K+” in February 2013, which featured collaborations with artists such as Childish Gambino, SBTRKT, and A$AP Ferg. In 2014, Kish released her second EP, “Across,” in partnership with the French fashion and record label Maison Kitsuné, further establishing her presence in both music and fashion. In 2016, she released her first studio album, “Reflections in Real Time,” which included the song “Taking Responsibility” featured in the HBO series “Euphoria.”
Her career continued to evolve with significant collaborations, including appearances on Gorillaz’s 2017 album “Humanz” and Vince Staples’ “Big Fish Theory.” In 2018, Kish released the EP “mothe,” with the single “Elegance” being named “Best New Track” by Pitchfork. She followed this with the EP “Redux” in 2019, which explored themes of perseverance and featured collaborations with producer Ray Brady. Her second studio album, “American Gurl,” was released on March 25, 2022, featuring collaborations with artists like Miguel, Jean Dawson, and Vince Staples. Kish has also consistently directed her own music videos, demonstrating her multifaceted artistic capabilities.
