Kiss of life

Kiss of Life, also known as KIOF, is a South Korean girl group formed by S2 Entertainment, making their official debut on July 5, 2023. The group comprises four members: Julie, Natty, Belle, and Haneul. Their name reflects their ambition to inject new vitality into the music industry through their unique sound and charm. Prior to the group’s formation, individual members had distinct career paths. Belle, daughter of veteran Korean singer Shim Shin, worked as a songwriter for SM Entertainment. Natty gained recognition as a contestant on survival shows *Sixteen* and *Idol School* before debuting as a soloist in 2020 with the single album, *Nineteen*. Julie trained under The Black Label, a sub-label of YG Entertainment, from 2017 to 2020.

In July 2022, Natty signed with S2 Entertainment, and by December 2022, speculation grew about a new girl group when Natty, Julie, Belle, and Haneul featured in a British documentary on K-pop trainees. S2 Entertainment confirmed plans for a new girl group in 2023, and trademark applications revealed the name “Kiss of Life.” The group officially teased their debut in May 2023, revealing members individually before their July 5 debut with the extended play (EP) *Kiss of Life*. The EP featured solo music videos for each member, showcasing their individual talents with tracks like “Sugarcoat” (Natty), “Countdown” (Belle), “Kitty Cat” (Julie), and “Play Love Games” (Haneul), ahead of their lead single “Shhh.”

The group continued their momentum with their second EP, *Born to Be XX*, released on November 8, 2023, featuring lead singles “Bad News” and “Nobody Knows.” In 2024, Kiss of Life released the single album *Midas Touch* on April 3, followed by the digital single “Sticky” on July 1. They also collaborated with Riot Games for “Superpower,” the theme song for the 2024 Valorant Champions tournament, with Julie and Natty providing vocals alongside Mark Tuan of Got7. The group embarked on their first world tour, “Kiss Road,” from October to December 2024, with additional European dates announced for early 2025. Their third EP, *Lose Yourself*, was released on October 15, 2024, and they are scheduled to perform at Sziget Festival in Budapest in 2025, marking them as the first K-pop group to do so. They further announced their Japanese debut with the EP *Tokyo Mission Start*, scheduled for November 5, 2025.
