Knife Party

Knife Party is an Australian electronic music duo recognized for their contributions to electro house, drumstep, and dubstep, evolving from their roots in drum and bass. After being established in 2011 by Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, formerly members of the acclaimed drum and bass band Pendulum, the Australian electronic music duo Knife Party quickly rose to prominence. Their debut EP, ‘100% No Modern Talking,’ was released digitally in December 2011 through Warner Bros. Records, featuring tracks like ‘Destroy Them with Lazers.’ The duo’s rapid ascent continued with their second EP, ‘Rage Valley,’ released in May 2012 via EarStorm and Big Beat.

The album featured notable singles including ‘Resistance’ and ‘Begin Again,’ further showcasing Knife Party’s distinctive blend of electro house, drumstep, and dubstep. The duo maintained a consistent output of new material, releasing the ‘Trigger Warning’ EP in 2015. Demonstrating their versatility and collaborative spirit, Knife Party partnered with acclaimed guitarist Tom Morello for the single ‘Battle Sirens,’ released in 2016. Expanding their reach beyond traditional releases, they launched their own radio show, ‘Knifecast,’ in 2018, which delivered new mixes and discussions to their global fanbase.
