Lennon & Maisy

Lennon and Maisy Stella, born in Oshawa, Ontario, began their journey in a musical family. Their parents, MaryLynne and Brad Stella, formed the country duo The Stellas. The family relocated to Nashville in 2009 to further their parents’ music careers. Lennon received her first guitar at the age of five and both sisters developed musical skills without formal training. They composed songs together and performed at various events alongside their parents. Lennon & Maisy gained early online popularity before their television debut, with a cover of Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend” going viral on YouTube, leading to an appearance on ‘Good Morning America’. Their YouTube channel collectively garnered over 97 million views and nearly 727,000 subscribers.

The sisters were cast in the ABC/CMT musical drama series ‘Nashville’, where they played Maddie and Daphne Conrad from 2012 to 2018. During their time on ‘Nashville’, they performed songs that charted, including their version of The Lumineers’ “Ho Hey”, which reached the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in April 2013. They also opened for Taylor Swift and presented her with the Pinnacle Award at the CMA Awards. In 2014, their song “Love” for a Coop (Switzerland) Naturaplan TV commercial reached number 1 on the Swiss iTunes chart and was the second most downloaded song in Switzerland for three weeks. They consistently performed at the Grand Ole Opry and released an EP, ‘Live YouTube Sessions’, in 2012.

Following their work as a duo, Maisy Stella began solo projects, releasing her debut solo song “Riding Free” for the soundtrack of the animated series ‘Spirit Riding Free’ in 2017. She returned to acting with a lead role in Megan Park’s 2024 film ‘My Old Ass’, for which she received a Critics’ Choice Movie Award, an Independent Spirit Award, and a Gotham Award nomination. Lennon Stella also continued her artistic career, building on the foundation established by the duo.
