L.S. Dunes is an American rock supergroup that emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic, featuring prominent musicians from various influential bands. Fronted by Anthony Green, known for his work with Circa Survive, Saosin, and The Sound of Animals Fighting, the group also includes Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance, Travis Stever from Coheed and Cambria, Tim Payne of Thursday, and drummer Tucker Rule. Their formation began with informal jam sessions during a 2020 livestream, leading to the creation of their debut album, “Past Lives,” released on November 11, 2022, through Fantasy Records.
The band made a significant impact with their live debut at Riot Fest 2022, where they performed six songs from “Past Lives.” The album was preceded by three successful singles: “Permanent Rebellion,” “2022,” and “Bombsquad,” each receiving positive acclaim from music critics. The singles showcased the band’s unique blend of post-hardcore and emo, with “Permanent Rebellion” being particularly praised for its energetic punk rock sound and soaring guitar work. The album itself was produced by Will Yip, further solidifying their professional credibility.
Following their debut, L.S. Dunes embarked on their first UK tour in January 2023 and a US tour in July 2023, expanding their reach and fanbase. In June 2023, they released the single “Benadryl Subreddit,” which continued to build on their momentum. The band has confirmed that they recorded a second full-length album, “Violet,” set for release on January 31, 2025, marking an exciting new chapter in their career.
