Matthew Sorum is a renowned American drummer celebrated for his dynamic contributions to the hard rock genre. He first gained prominence as a member of The Cult, where he showcased his exceptional drumming skills during the band’s 1989 tour supporting their acclaimed album, Sonic Temple. His powerful performances caught the attention of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, leading to his pivotal role as the band’s drummer from 1990 to 1997.
