Maude Latour

Maude Latour was born on October 8, 1999, in Sweden. The daughter of media executive Almar Latour and a journalist for S&P Global, she experienced an international upbringing living in New York City, London, and attending Hong Kong International School before continuing her education at the Brearley School in Manhattan. Her musical journey began at age 15 with songwriting, and by 17, she was uploading her music to Spotify, laying the groundwork for her career.

Latour enrolled at Columbia University, graduating in 2022 with a degree in philosophy. During her college years, she continued to develop her artistic identity, drawing inspiration from her academic pursuits and collaborating with peers on early music videos filmed in dorms and around campus. She released her first EP, ‘High School High,’ in 2018, followed by ‘Starsick’ in 2019, which included notable tracks like “Superfruit” and “Shoot and Run.” The latter originated as a school project during her senior year of high school. In July 2020, she released “One More Weekend,” which garnered significant attention with over 37 million Spotify streams. This period also saw her pivot to social media platforms, particularly TikTok, to connect with her growing fanbase during the pandemic, leading to a record deal with Warner Records in 2021.

Following her signing with Warner Records, Latour released her second EP, ‘Strangers Forever,’ in October 2021. In Spring 2022, she embarked on her first headlining North American tour, performing in 13 cities. That same year, she released singles “Headphones,” “Lola,” and “Trees,” and performed at major music festivals including Lollapalooza. Her cover of Kim Wilde’s “Kids in America” was featured in the 2022 Netflix film ‘Do Revenge.’ She continued to release EPs, including ‘001’ in 2022 and ‘Twin Flame’ in 2023. Her debut album, ‘Sugar Water,’ released on August 16, 2024, received positive reviews from publications such as Rolling Stone and PopMatters. Latour has also expanded her touring presence, opening for artists like Fletcher on the ‘In Search of the Antidote Tour’ in 2024 and Alex Warren on the ‘Cheaper Than Therapy Tour’ in 2025.
