Mickey Guyton

Mickey Guyton is an American country music artist who has challenged genre norms and advocated for inclusivity, making her a compelling voice for brand partnerships seeking authenticity and progressive values. After receiving a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance for her powerful song ‘Black Like Me’ in 2020, becoming the first Black woman to be nominated in that category, Mickey Guyton established herself as a groundbreaking voice in country music. Her professional career began in 2011 when she signed with Capitol Records Nashville, notably becoming the only Black female artist on a major country label at the time. Following this, Guyton released her debut acoustic EP, ‘Unbreakable,’ in 2014, which climbed to number 14 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart.

In 2023, she took on a coaching and judging role on the music competition series ‘My Kind of Country,’ further broadening her influence within the industry. The same year, she announced her new single ‘Nothing Compares to You,’ featuring multi-platinum artist Kane Brown, generating significant anticipation for her upcoming releases. Most recently, Guyton continued to make her mark in 2024 with a performance of ‘All American’ at the Democratic National Convention. This was followed by the release of her second studio album, ‘House on Fire,’ showcasing her continued artistic evolution and powerful storytelling.
