Musa Keys is a South African record producer, DJ, and singer-songwriter known for his influential contributions to the Amapiano music scene, transitioning from local recognition to international acclaim. After making his influential commercial foray into the Amapiano genre with Caltonic SA’s ‘Heat Overload’ in 2019, Musa Keys released his solo breakthrough track ‘Samaritan Boy’ in 2020, distinguished by its unique mumbling vocal style. This distinctive approach was further solidified with his 2021 hit single ‘Vula Mlomo,’ featuring Nobantu Vilakazi, which quickly achieved double platinum certification from the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA). The track’s widespread success culminated in Musa Keys winning Record of the Year at the 28th annual South African Music Awards (SAMAs) in 2022.

In 2022, he was honored with the GQ Best Dressed Celebrity award and received a nomination for Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards. His sartorial influence was further recognized in 2023 when he won the Metro FM Music Award for Best Styled Artist, cementing his status as a multifaceted cultural figure within the music and fashion industries.
