NEEDTOBREATHE is a GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum rock band from Seneca, South Carolina, known for their distinctive blend of modern rock, soul, and pop. After independently releasing their debut album The Feature in 2001 and several EPs including Soulrock Review (2003) and Fire and Turnaround (2004), GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum rock band NEEDTOBREATHE signed with Lava Records in 2005, quickly garnering national recognition. Their second studio album, Daylight, released on April 4, 2006, featured the single ‘You Are Here’ and earned them a cover feature in CCM Magazine. This momentum continued with The Heat in 2007, which received two Dove Award nominations, with ‘Washed by the Water’ winning ‘Rock/Contemporary Song of the Year’ in 2009.

1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart and earning two Dove Awards in 2021 for ‘Who Am I’ and for the album Out of Body. Over two decades, NEEDTOBREATHE has achieved five Number One albums across Billboard Rock, Alternative, and other charts, accumulating over three billion career streams and earning multi-platinum recognition for hits such as “Brother,” “Who Am I,” and “Let’s Stay Home Tonight.” Their most recent studio album, Caves, released in 2023, featured collaborations with artists like Carly Pearce and Old Dominion. In 2025, ahead of founding member Seth Bolt’s announced departure, the band is set to release ‘Momma Loves Me’ featuring The Red Clay Strays, continuing their prolific output and extensive touring.
