Nell Verlaque

Born on October 19, 2000, in New York City, Nell Verlaque began her acting journey by attending Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School before continuing her studies in drama at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. After a year, she chose to leave the program to focus on pursuing acting opportunities full-time.

Verlaque made her screen debut in 2017 with a guest appearance on the CBS legal drama “Bull.” Her career progressed significantly when she secured a main role as Louise Gruzinsky in the Disney+ series “Big Shot,” which ran for two seasons from 2021 to 2022. This role provided her with a prominent platform within the television industry. Following her work on “Big Shot,” Verlaque took on the lead role of Jessica Wright in Eli Roth’s slasher film “Thanksgiving” (2023), receiving positive reviews for her performance. She is slated to reprise this role in the upcoming “Thanksgiving 2.” In 2025, she joined the cast of the A24 Amazon Prime Video comedy-drama “Overcompensating” in a recurring capacity, a show that has received critical acclaim, further raising her profile. Looking ahead to 2026, Verlaque is set to star alongside Kevin Kline and Laura Linney in the Amazon MGM series “American Classic.” Beyond acting, Verlaque is also a singer-songwriter, having independently released five songs since 2022, and has expressed aspirations to direct films.
