Nitefire is crafted from the local landscapes and intimate connections between friends. Fronted by Nico Geyer and Luke White, this LA rock band emerged from the DIY scenes of both coasts, stringing together moments of high school camaraderie into a creative force. Their space in Marilyn Manson’s former Hollywood Hills house during the pandemic became an incubator, sowing the seeds for their sound in the haze of nostalgia and youthful energy.
With a handful of singles already capturing the attention of listeners, their artistic trajectory skyrocketed when they embraced a unique concert model: why host just one party when you have two houses? The strategy drew crowds and turned their energetic showcases into chaotic celebrations that often spilled onto the streets. Geyer recalls, during one event, they hit an overwhelming 800 attendees—a testament to their burgeoning reputation.
However, the road hasn’t been without its convolutions. The early days of Nitefire saw friendships blossoming out of tentative interactions, and as they jammed through high school, the dynamic shifted in unpredictable ways. The project began to mature only as they navigated their respective college experiences, reminiscent of those late-night sessions in backyard sheds.
As 2024 approaches, with anticipated releases and a debut album looming, Nitefire stands as a vibrant testament to both the chaos and creativity of youth. They strive to encapsulate the spectrum of love, self-acceptance, and constant questioning that characterizes life in their 20s, with each song a chapter of their shared journey.
