Orion Sun, the stage name of Tiffany Majette, is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has captivated audiences with her unique blend of alternative R&B, jazz, and indie rock. Her professional journey began in Philadelphia, where she became part of an underground music collective called The Forest. This experience laid the groundwork for her artistic development, allowing her to explore her sound and connect with fellow musicians. In 2013, she released her first song, “Voicemail,” on YouTube, marking the start of her solo career.

In 2017, Orion Sun released her mixtape, *A Collection of Fleeting Moments and Daydreams*, which showcased her introspective lyrics and soulful melodies. Her debut LP, *Hold Space for Me*, released in 2020 under Mom + Pop Music, received critical acclaim, with Pitchfork praising its poetic depth. The album solidified her place in the music industry and demonstrated her ability to tackle complex themes such as love and social justice.

Orion Sun’s commitment to activism is evident in her music, particularly with the release of “Mama’s Baby” in response to police brutality. The song raised over $18,000 for racial justice causes, showcasing her dedication to using her platform for positive change. In 2022, she released her EP *Getaway*, featuring collaborations with notable producers, further expanding her artistic reach.

As of 2024, Orion Sun continues to make waves in the music scene with her self-titled LP and a tour titled *The Rising Sun Tour*. Her innovative sound and heartfelt storytelling resonate with fans, establishing her as a prominent voice in contemporary music.
