Oso Oso, helmed by Jade Lilitri, is recognized for its contributions to emo, indie rock, and pop punk, earning critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase. After launching as a side-project with the EP ‘Osoosooso’ in 2014 via Soft Speak Records, Oso Oso, helmed by Jade Lilitri, quickly established its unique sound in the emo, indie rock, and pop punk genres. The same year, Oso Oso released a split with the acclaimed emo band Free Throw, followed by their first full-length album, ‘Real Stories Of True People Who Kind Of Looked Like Monsters,’ also on Soft Speak Records. This initial burst of activity laid the groundwork for a critically recognized career.
The momentum continued with the release of their third album, ‘Basking in the Glow,’ on August 16, 2019, which once again received ‘Best New Music’ recognition from Pitchfork, underscoring their consistent critical acclaim. In 2021, the band released a video of their last collective performance following the passing of guitarist Tavish Maloney in March. Oso Oso’s 2022 release, ‘Sore Thumb,’ continued their streak of critical success, also earning the ‘Best New Music’ distinction from Pitchfork. Most recently, Oso Oso announced their new album, ‘Life Till Bones,’ in July 2024, which was subsequently released on August 9, 2024, through Yunahon Entertainment LLC.
The project maintains an active live presence, with upcoming dates scheduled across Europe and the United States in late 2025, demonstrating an enduring appeal and commitment to performing for their dedicated fanbase.
