Ottawan, a French pop music duo, gained international recognition with their hit disco singles and continues to perform globally. Formed in 1979, the group was masterminded by producers Daniel Vangarde and Jean Kluger, quickly becoming a significant act from the Disco 80 era. Their debut single, ‘D.I.S.C.O.,’ released in 1979, swiftly became a chart-topper across Europe in 1980. The track notably reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart in September 1980, establishing Ottawan’s signature blend of disco, funk, and Caribbean rhythms on the international stage.

An original member of Ottawan, Jean Patrick-Baptiste, continues to perform under the Ottawan name, maintaining an active international performance schedule.
