Phantom Planet is an acclaimed American rock band that emerged from Los Angeles in 1994, captivating audiences with their unique sound and energetic performances. The band, originally featuring vocalist Alex Greenwald, lead guitarist Darren Robinson, bassist Sam Farrar, and drummer Jeff Conrad, gained significant recognition with their hit track “California,” which became the iconic theme song for the popular TV series The O.C. Their early years were marked by the release of their debut album, “Phantom Planet Is Missing,” in 1998, which laid the groundwork for their evolving musical style.

In 2002, Phantom Planet signed with Epic Records and released their second album, “The Guest,” which showcased their growth as artists.
