About

Tiffany Arbuckle Lee, born March 9, 1975, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, began her musical journey singing in church and school. She moved to Nashville just before her 21st birthday, where she worked as a background singer for artists such as Bill Gaither and Amy Grant. Her career as Plumb officially began in 1997, initially as a five-piece band formed with Joe Porter, Matt Stanfield, J.J. Plasencio, and Stephen Leiweke. The band’s name, Plumb, was inspired by the Suzanne Vega song “My Favorite Plum.” After signing with Essential Records, the debut album, “Plumb,” was released in 1997. The addition of the letter “B” to the end of plumb was the idea of her producer, Matt Bronleewe, acknowledging his significant influence on her sound.

In 1999, Plumb released her second studio album, “Candycoatedwaterdrops,” which earned the 2000 Gospel Music Association Dove Award for “Modern Rock Album of the Year.” This album featured tracks like “Stranded,” “Here with Me,” and “Damaged,” which explored personal themes. Following this album, the band members departed, and Plumb transitioned into a solo project for Tiffany Arbuckle. She initially considered leaving the music industry after 2000 but was inspired to continue by a fan’s letter regarding her song “Damaged.” In 2003, she signed with Curb Records and released “Beautiful Lumps of Coal.”

Her career progressed with subsequent albums such as “Chaotic Resolve” (2006) and “Blink” (2007). “Blink” became one of her most enduring albums, with “In My Arms” gaining international success and featured in television shows like “Vampire Diaries” and “One Tree Hill.” In 2009, Curb Records released a greatest hits album, “Beautiful History,” which included the single “Hang On,” reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. Plumb continued to evolve, collaborating with artists like Paul Van Dyk and achieving further success with her sixth studio album, “Need You Now” (2013), which received five Dove Award nominations.
