Brian Free And Assurance

Brian Free & Assurance was established in 1993, following Brian Free’s tenure with the Gold City Quartet from 1982 to 1994. Since its inception, the group has focused on performing Southern gospel music and has released numerous albums. Their discography includes early works such as “Brian Free & Assurance” (1994) and “Things That Last Forever” (1995), demonstrating a sustained commitment to their musical genre. The group’s primary mission has been to convey messages of faith and hope through their songs to a broad audience.

Throughout their career, Brian Free & Assurance has achieved recognition within the Southern gospel community. They won the Southern Gospel Recorded Song Of The Year at the Dove Awards in 2006 for “Long As I Got King Jesus.” The group also received a Dove Award in 2014 for Southern Gospel Performance Of The Year for their song “Say Amen.” Additionally, in 2013, their music video “I Want To Be That Man” was honored as Music Video of the Year at the National Quartet Convention. These awards highlight their steady contribution to the genre and their ability to resonate with audiences and industry peers.

The group has continued to record and release new music, with their most recent album, “Grateful for the Gospel,” released in 2024.
