Power Trip

Power Trip is a prominent American crossover thrash band that emerged from Dallas, Texas, in 2008. The band quickly gained recognition for their electrifying sound and powerful performances, establishing themselves as one of the leading thrash metal acts of the 2010s. Their debut studio album, “Manifest Decimation,” released in 2013, showcased their raw energy and lyrical depth, earning critical acclaim and solidifying their place in the metal scene. This was followed by their sophomore album, “Nightmare Logic,” in 2017, which not only entered the Billboard charts but also received accolades from various music publications, highlighting the band’s ability to blend social commentary with compelling music.

Throughout their career, Power Trip has shared the stage with legendary acts such as Ozzy Osbourne, Anthrax, and Lamb of God, further enhancing their reputation within the metal community. Their live performances, particularly the Grammy-nominated track “Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe),” have captivated audiences and showcased their musicianship and stage presence. After the tragic passing of Gale in 2020, the surviving members faced uncertainty about the band’s future. However, they chose to honor his legacy by continuing to create music together. In December 2023, they made a triumphant return with a surprise performance featuring new lead vocalist Seth Gilmore, signaling a new chapter for Power Trip.

Looking ahead, Power Trip is set to embark on their first tour in over five years, supporting Pantera in early 2025.
