Punctual, comprised of John Nicholas Ealand Morgan and William Martyn Morris Lansley, is a UK-based writer-producer duo. They met as teenagers in Newbury, Berkshire, after being introduced by a mutual friend with whom they were both independently creating music. Their early collaborations took place in a bedroom setting, establishing a foundation for their future musical partnership. Both members attended the University of Bristol. In 2016, they released their debut single, “Eva,” on Juicebox Recordings, which included a B-side track, “Fix.” The single accumulated over 3 million plays on Spotify and received radio support from Zane Lowe, BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Phil Taggart, and Huw Stephens. A music video for “Eva” followed in January 2017.
Following their debut, Punctual relocated to South London. In July 2017, they released “What I Love,” accompanied by a music video filmed on various housing estates in South London. They continued to release new music, including the EP “Fading Youth” in September 2017 (RCA Records), which featured “What I Love.” In July 2018, they released “King Without a Crown,” featuring Skinny Living and Kid Ink, reinforcing their collaborative approach. This was followed by “Anything (For Your Love)” in July 2019 and “Don’t Take It Personal” in August 2019, featuring Malika. Their discography has since amassed over two billion streams globally, showcasing their consistent output and broad appeal. Punctual has been described as “your new favourite duo” by Mixmag, indicating significant industry recognition.
