Formed in September 2009, the British pop group, initially comprising trumpeter Sam Ritchie, vocalist Bloem de Ligny, and producer Aaron ‘Audio’ Horn, blended traditional Balkan music with modern dub and drum ‘n’ bass. Their groundbreaking debut single, ‘Bom Bom,’ released as a digital download on August 19, 2012, immediately soared to number one on the UK Singles Chart.
Sam and the Womp recently entered a new phase of their career, signing a partnership with Cherry Red Records.
