Sidney Gish

Sidney Gish garnered significant critical acclaim with her second album, ‘No Dogs Allowed,’ released on December 31, 2017. The album quickly achieved internet popularity within the DIY music community, earning a 7.7 rating from Pitchfork and a positive review from The Fader. This breakthrough followed her self-produced debut full-length album, ‘Ed Buys Houses,’ which she released in December 2016 using GarageBand, and her early Bandcamp releases, ‘don’t call on me’ (2015) and ‘dummy parade’ (2016), along with the ‘Merry Crisis’ EP (2016). Her independent approach to music production gained local attention, leading to her performing concerts in Boston throughout 2017, and a Buzzfeed News feature in 2016.

In 2023, Gish released new songs ‘Filming School’ and ‘MFSOTSOTR’ through the Sub Pop Singles Club, marking her first releases with the prominent label. Most recently, Gish maintained an active touring schedule and collaborated with fellow artists. In 2023, she supported The Beths on their North American tour and later joined Jeff Rosenstock on tour, continuing into 2024. Looking ahead to 2025, she is slated to be featured on Grumpy’s song ‘Lonesome Ride,’ underscoring her ongoing collaborative work and creative output.
