Taylor Acorn

Taylor Acorn, born on September 21, 1993, was raised in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. Following the death of her father at age eight, her family settled in North Central Pennsylvania. She began teaching herself guitar at 15 and was a track and field athlete at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. In 2014, she withdrew from university to pursue a music career. Acorn moved to Nashville in 2017 after gaining significant traction for her acoustic covers on YouTube. She then signed a publishing deal with Play It Again and released her debut EP, “Put It in a Song” (2017). During this period, she was recognized as a “country artist to watch” by Billboard and performed alongside artists such as Old Dominion and Dustin Lynch, establishing her presence in the country music scene.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Acorn shifted her musical focus back to her pop-punk and emo roots. This transition gained viral attention on TikTok through her cover of Mayday Parade’s “Jamie All Over.” In 2021, she released the acoustic cover EP “Stay Emo, Pt. 1.” The year 2022 saw the release of her original pop-punk singles “Psycho” and “Shapeshifting.” In September 2023, she released the EP “Certified Depressant,” which included a collaboration with Cassadee Pope on the track “Coma.” This EP led to her first headlining tours in both the United States and Australia. Her career continued to progress significantly in September 2024 with the release of her debut full-length album, “Survival In Motion.” In July 2025, Acorn signed with Fearless Records and released her second album, “Poster Child.” This album explored themes of mental health and childhood nostalgia, debuting at number 89 on the Official UK Album Downloads Chart. Her music is characterized by its blend of early 2000s pop-punk energy with modern mental health-focused lyricism, drawing influences from artists like Paramore, Avril Lavigne, and Kelly Clarkson.
