Topu

Topu, also known as Rashed Uddin Ahmed Topu, is a Bangladeshi musician, singer-songwriter, and composer, recognized as the lead vocalist of the band Yaatri. After becoming involved with the North South University Shangskritik Shangothon (NSUSS) in 2003, Topu co-formed the band Yaatri with Emran in 2004. The band’s first single, ‘Ek Paye Nupur,’ gained significant traction after its inclusion in the 2004 compilation album Shopnochura. Building on the success of ‘Ek Paye Nupur’ and another popular single, ‘Ekta Gopon Kotha,’ Yaatri secured a record deal with G-Series in November 2005.

An accomplished musician, singer-songwriter, and composer, Topu is recognized for his contributions to the Bangladeshi music scene, both as the lead vocalist of Yaatri and through his successful solo career. His established work as an author, film actor, and television host further cements his profile as a dynamic and multi-talented artist, continuously exploring and excelling in various creative domains.
