Usher Raymond IV is a Grammy Award-winning artist, actor, and businessman, recognized for his contributions to R&B and pop music, as well as his philanthropic efforts. After signing with LaFace Records co-founder L.A. Reid in 1993, Usher released his self-titled debut album in 1994. His 1997 sophomore album, ‘My Way,’ featured his first Billboard Hot 100 number-one single, ‘Nice & Slow,’ and ‘You Make Me Wanna…,’ which earned a Grammy Award nomination and the 1997 Soul Train Award for Best R&B Single.

Confessions produced four consecutive US number-one singles, earning him three Grammy Awards in 2005 and recognition as Billboard’s decade’s second most successful and number-one Hot 100 artist. In February 2024, Usher headlined the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, drawing 123 million US viewers, concurrent with the release of his ninth studio album, Coming Home. Usher holds 8 Grammy Awards and has sold over 100 million records worldwide, honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 24th BET Awards in 2024 and named Billboard’s 11th ‘Greatest Pop Star of the 21st Century’.
