Ventino

Ventino, a Latin pop girl group originating from Bogotá, Colombia, formed in 2016. The group’s current members are María Cristina “Makis” de Angulo, Camila Esguerra, Natalia Afanador, and Olga Lucía Vives. The group initially gained recognition by uploading cover versions of popular songs on YouTube. In October 2014, Camila Esguerra and Natalia Afanador uploaded their first video, a mashup cover of Sia’s “Chandelier” and Rihanna’s “Diamonds.” This was followed in April 2015 by a Disney Princess songs mashup, which quickly surpassed one million views within a month. This early success on YouTube led the members to pursue music collectively.

Following their online popularity, Ventino secured a record deal with Sony Music Colombia. Their debut single, “Me Equivoqué,” released on October 14, 2016, achieved over 95 million views on its video. The group continued to release singles such as “Apaga y Vamonos” and “Si Decides (Baby),” expanding their audience in Spain and across Latin America. In November 2017, they released a Christmas album titled “Ya Es Navidad,” produced by Santiago Deluchi. Their self-titled debut studio album, “Ventino,” was released on August 17, 2018. They continued to release new music, including collaborations with artists like Mike Bahia on “Yo Te Quiero Más” in November 2018. In September 2019, Ventino released the four-track EP “Otra Noche,” featuring collaborations with Jeon and Roman, which showcased their versatility in sound and vocals. The group has performed extensively, with notable concerts in Colombia and Mexico, including at Movistar Arena in Bogotá and Arena Monterrey.

Juliana Pérez was an original member of Ventino but departed from the group in 2020. The current lineup of María Cristina de Angulo, Camila Esguerra, Natalia Afanador, and Olga Lucía Vives has since continued to perform and record. Ventino has been recognized for their contributions to Latin pop, with several singles gaining significant traction and their albums marking key achievements in their career. Their journey from online covers to signing with a major label and performing live across multiple countries demonstrates their development as musical artists.
