Vera Blue

Vera Blue, also known as Celia Pavey, is an Australian singer-songwriter recognized for her folk-inspired and electronic music, having achieved commercial success and critical acclaim. After captivating audiences on Season 2 of The Voice Australia in 2013, where she placed third and saw her audition of ‘Scarborough Fair / Canticle’ garner over 14 million online views, Vera Blue (then known as Celia Pavey) swiftly released her debut studio album, ‘This Music,’ in July 2013, which climbed to number 14 on the Australian ARIA Charts. She followed this in 2014 with her debut EP, ‘Bodies,’ produced by Eric J. Dubowsky, which she supported with an extensive tour across Australia’s east coast.

Her critically acclaimed third overall album, ‘Mercurial,’ was released on October 28, 2022, preceded by the single ‘The Curse,’ further showcasing her evolving sound. Looking ahead, Vera Blue released ‘In the Corner’ in May 2025, her first single in three years, and is slated to perform the national anthem at the prestigious AFL Grand Final in September 2025, underscoring her continued prominence in Australian music and culture.
