Louis Schoorl has established himself as a prominent songwriter and producer, influencing pop music across global charts and developing new artists. After being recognized as Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year at the 2014 APRA Awards, Louis Schoorl established himself as a prominent songwriter, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. After dedicating seven years to pitching to record labels and artists, his career gained rapid momentum following his first publishing deal, particularly through collaborations with artists on the Sony Music Australia roster. Early notable credits include co-writing ‘Gotcha’ for the film The Sapphires in 2012, and contributing ‘My Oh My’ to Girls’ Generation’s Love and Peace album, alongside ‘Borrow My Heart’ for Taylor Henderson, both in 2013.

By 2015, Schoorl’s impactful work included contributions to Guy Sebastian’s Eurovision entry ‘Tonight Again’ and a co-write and co-production credit on Jessica Mauboy’s radio hit ‘Fallin’. His exceptional work on Hilda earned him a nomination for Producer of the Year at the 2020 ARIA Music Awards, further solidifying his reputation within the industry. Most recently, in 2024, Schoorl’s song ’12 Minute Walk,’ performed by Bow Anderson, achieved second place in the prestigious Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition, underscoring his continued excellence and influence in the contemporary music landscape.
