Years & Years

Years & Years, originally an English electropop band, evolved into a solo project for Olly Alexander, consistently delivering critically acclaimed and commercially successful music. After gaining significant recognition with their 2015 single ‘King,’ which soared to number one on the UK Singles Chart and achieved top ten success in thirteen other countries, Years & Years went on to release their debut album, ‘Communion.’ Released in 2015, the album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and became the fastest-selling debut album of the year by a UK signed band. Signed with Polydor Records in 2014, earlier singles like ‘Take Shelter’ reached number one on the iTunes UK Singles Electronic Chart in 2014, and ‘Desire’ peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart the same year. Years & Years also won the BBC’s Sound of 2015 poll and received four Brit Awards nominations in 2016, including British Group and British Breakthrough Act.

In 2023, Alexander headlined the Mighty Hoopla music festival, continuing to build his solo presence. Expanding his individual career, Olly Alexander was selected to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2024, performing under his personal name and confirming the dissolution of Years & Years as a band in the same year. Throughout his career, Years & Years and Alexander have garnered six Brit Awards nominations and received numerous accolades including an Attitude Award, a British LGBT Award, and a Brits Billion Award. His debut solo album, ‘Polari,’ is slated for release in 2025.
