Ylona Jade Garcia was born on February 28, 2002, in Sydney, Australia, to Filipino medical practitioner parents, Peter Garcia and Caridad Navalle-Garcia. Early in her life, she performed as a front act for Filipino artists like Martin Nievera and Sarah Geronimo during their concerts in Australia. She also took part in several singing competitions, winning the Urban Star Sydney Championship in December 2014, where she received the “Most Promising Talent” award, and the Fast Track Australian Singing Competition in March 2015 as part of the junior division. Her early career also included finishing third in the National Urban Star Competition, earning her accolades for “Coolest Artist” and “Artist with the ‘Wow’ Factor.”
Garcia’s breakthrough came in 2015 when she joined the reality television series “Pinoy Big Brother: 737.” During her time in the house, she composed and recorded two songs, “Win the Fight” (2015) and “Magmahal Muli” (2005), which were later featured on the EP “PBB 737.” She emerged as the first runner-up in the competition in November 2015. Following “Pinoy Big Brother,” she joined the extended cast of the romantic comedy series “On the Wings of Love” (2015–2016) as Audrey Olivar. In 2016, she signed with Star Music and became a Celebrity VJ for Myx, a music television network, for the month of February.
Her career continued to expand internationally in 2021 when she officially joined 88rising, a global Asian record label, specifically under its Paradise Rising imprint, which focuses on Filipino artists. This move led to the release of her single “All That” in March 2021, followed by “Don’t Go Changing” later that year. In January 2022, Garcia released “Entertain Me,” a collaboration with the video game Valorant and its developer Riot Games, which was used in the game’s trailer. That same month, she relocated to Los Angeles, California, to further her music career. In August 2024, she became a content creator for the gaming and lifestyle brand 100 Thieves.
