You Me At Six is a British rock band from Weybridge, Surrey, known for their influential contributions to pop-punk and alternative rock, achieving multiple chart-topping albums and extensive global touring. After building a strong foundation with their 2006 EP We Know What It Means to Be Alone, You Me At Six achieved broader recognition with their 2008 debut album, Take Off Your Colours, released on Slam Dunk Records. This album featured singles such as ‘Save It for the Bedroom,’ ‘Finders Keepers,’ and ‘Kiss and Tell,’ with the latter two reaching positions on the UK Singles Chart. The band, consisting of vocalist Josh Franceschi, guitarists Max Helyer and Chris Miller, bassist Matt Barnes, and drummer Dan Flint (who joined in 2007), supported Fall Out Boy on a UK tour in 2008.
Their early impact was further acknowledged with nominations for ‘Best British Band’ at the Kerrang! Awards in both 2008 and 2009. The group continued its upward trajectory with their second album, Hold Me Down, in 2010, which debuted at number five in the UK. That year, You Me At Six also performed on BBC Radio One’s Live Lounge.
The band also toured extensively throughout their career, including appearances at Warped Tour and Soundwave, and supporting major artists such as Fall Out Boy and Paramore. Their eighth studio album, Truth Decay, was released in 2023, accompanied by the Live from Alexandra Palace EP later that year. In 2024, You Me At Six announced their planned dissolution following a farewell tour scheduled for 2025, marking the conclusion of a prolific two-decade career.
