Yovie & Nuno, an Indonesian band, was established in Bandung, West Java, with Yovie Widianto as a foundational member. The band initially formed with members Yovie Widianto, Dudy Oris, Muchamad Ahadiyat, Gail Satiawaki, Ersta, and Rere, operating under the name Yovie & The Nuno in March 2004. In their early years, they released the album “Semua Bintang” in 2001 and “Kemenangan Cinta” in 2004. A significant change occurred at the end of 2005 when Gail, Ersta, and Rere departed. The band then reverted to the name Yovie & Nuno, and new members, vocalist Dikta and guitarist Diat, joined. The lineup further evolved in 2012 with the departure of vocalist Dudy Oris.
Throughout their career, Yovie & Nuno continued to release music and achieve recognition. Their 2007 album, “The Special One,” received the Best of the Best Album award at the 2009 Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) Awards. Following this, their 2010 album, “Winning 11,” was recognized with the Best Pop Album award at the 2011 AMI Awards. Yovie Widianto, primarily known as a musician and composer, continued his involvement with the band, transitioning his role to producer and focusing on behind-the-scenes work for Yovie & Nuno’s productions starting in 2019. The band has consistently released new material, including singles like “Galau” in 2012, and albums such as “Still The One” in 2014, “Demi Hati” in 2019, “Sajadah Panjang” in 2021, and “Misal” in 2022.
