Abby Elliott

Abigail Elliott was born on June 16, 1987, in New York City, New York. She is the daughter of actor and comedian Chris Elliott and the granddaughter of veteran comic Bob Elliott, making her a third-generation performer. Elliott attended Immaculate High School in Danbury, Connecticut, where she participated in school plays and musicals, before briefly attending Marymount Manhattan College. She began her comedy career by taking classes at The Groundlings and subsequently training and performing in various sketch comedy shows at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB) in Los Angeles.

Elliott joined the cast of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” in November 2008, mid-season for its 34th year, following Amy Poehler’s departure. She was the youngest female cast member at the time of her tenure on the show. During her four seasons with SNL, she gained recognition for her impressions of figures such as Angelina Jolie, Chloë Sevigny, and Joan Cusack. Following her departure from SNL in 2012, Elliott transitioned to various television and film projects, including a small role in the 2011 film “No Strings Attached” and supporting roles in “High Road” and “Fun Size” in 2012. She also made guest appearances in television series like “2 Broke Girls,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Happy Endings,” and “Inside Amy Schumer.”

From 2015 to 2017, Elliott co-starred in the Bravo series “Odd Mom Out.” In 2020, she was a main cast member in the NBC sitcom “Indebted.” Her career advanced significantly in 2022 when she joined the cast of the Hulu comedy-drama “The Bear,” portraying Natalie ‘Sugar’ Berzatto. Her expanded role in the second season earned her a nomination at the 81st Golden Globe Awards for Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film and a win at the Screen Actors Guild Awards for for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
