Adrián Vicente secured his breakthrough into the elite ranks of senior taekwondo in 2018, achieving a gold medal at the European Taekwondo Championships in Kazan in the men’s -54 kg finweight category. This landmark victory followed a period of consistent performance, including two gold medals at the Spanish Open in Benicasim and the French Open in Paris in 2016, where he first showcased his potential at the youth level. Transitioning to senior events in 2017, Vicente earned a bronze medal at the German Open and a silver at the Serbia Open, both in the -54 kg category, and represented Spain at the World Championships in Muju. His strong 2018 campaign also featured a gold at the Spanish Open, two bronze medals at the WT Presidents Cup in Africa and Europe, a gold at the Luxembourg Open, and a bronze at the Grand Prix in Manchester.
This followed a silver medal at the Canada Open in Vancouver and a bronze at the European Championships in Belgrade. Vicente has continued his international success into 2025, having already secured a gold medal at the Estonia Open in Tallinn, a gold at the WT Presidents Cup Europe, and silver medals at both the Canada Open in Montreal and the German Open. His consistent medal-winning performances across prestigious international tournaments underscore his sustained excellence and position as a leading figure in global taekwondo.
