Anthony Zerbe

Anthony Zerbe is an Emmy Award-winning actor recognized for his extensive work in film, television, and stage productions over five decades. After receiving an Emmy Award in 1976 for Outstanding Continuing Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Lieutenant K.C. Trench in the series ‘Harry O’ (1973-1976), Anthony Zerbe established a distinguished career spanning five decades in film, television, and theatre. Zerbe made his New York City stage debut in ‘The Cave Dwellers’ in 1961, followed by his screen debut in 1967 as Dutchie in the western ‘Will Penny.’ He quickly became known for his portrayals of complex characters, including Matthias, a post-apocalyptic messiah, in ‘The Omega Man’ (1971), and a hustler alongside Paul Newman in ‘The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean’ (1972).

Zerbe continued to select compelling roles into the 2010s, appearing as Senator Horton Mitchell in David O. Russell’s Oscar-winning film ‘American Hustle’ (2013). His most recent screen credit includes portraying Mr. Crumwald in the film ‘Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks’ (2014).
