Alex Magala originates from Moldova and is known for his unique combination of sword swallowing, aerial arts, and pole dancing. His career gained significant traction with appearances on various “Got Talent” franchises worldwide. Before his appearance on America’s Got Talent in 2013, he competed on Italy’s Got Talent in the same year, reaching the finals. His distinctive acts, often involving dangerous stunts like swallowing swords while performing intricate acrobatics, have consistently captivated audiences and judges across multiple international platforms.

Magala’s presence on America’s Got Talent Season 8 in 2013 saw him progress through the audition and Vegas rounds as a danger act. He advanced to the Quarterfinals, where his performance included sliding down a pole with firecrackers and a backflip with a sword in his mouth. Although eliminated in the Quarterfinals, this platform increased his international recognition. Following this, he reached the finals of Britain’s Got Talent Season 10 and won Ukraine’s Got Talent and Russia’s Got Talent in 2014. That same year, he performed at the opening ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, a notable career milestone.

His achievements extend beyond competitive reality television into other high-profile events. Alex returned to America’s Got Talent: The Champions, performing a new series of dangerous stunts during the preliminary stage, where he again drew significant attention for his death-defying acts. He also participated in the World’s Got Talent special in China, winning his preliminary round. In addition to his performance career, Magala is distinguished in martial arts, holding a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Eddie Bravo, and has developed his own “Mantis Style.” His expertise led him to found and own a 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu school in Krasnodar, Russia, demonstrating a diverse range of skills from entertainment to athletic instruction.
