Alex Radcliffe

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Alex Radcliffe grew up in a blue-collar environment, where he developed a strong work ethic from his single mother. He entered the yachting world through a friend in the industry, quickly developing an appreciation for the adventurous lifestyle and various global destinations it offered. Despite initially approaching the profession with a “fake it ’til you make it” attitude, he proved to be a quick learner, advancing in his roles within the yachting sector. His ambition extends to eventually becoming a captain.

Radcliffe gained public recognition during his participation as a deckhand, and subsequently lead deckhand, on season five of *Below Deck Mediterranean* in 2020. This role allowed him to showcase his confidence and a distinct sense of humor. Following his time on the show, he continued to engage with the *Below Deck* franchise, appearing as ‘Self’ on *Below Deck Galley Talk* from 2021 to 2022 across 29 episodes, where he provided commentary. In 2021, he also appeared as a ‘Self – Guest’ on *Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen* for one episode.

In a career shift after his television appearances, Alex Radcliffe moved into the marine sales industry. He became a boat broker, working for companies such as Monahan’s Marine and Off The Hook Yachts in North Carolina and Massachusetts. This new chapter involves facilitating the buying and selling of new and used boats, a role he actively promotes to his social media followers. He continues to engage with his audience, previously hosting a podcast with *Below Deck Med’s* Anastasia Surmava.
