Mac Allister first made his senior debut for Argentinos Juniors in October 2016, quickly contributing to the team’s promotion to the Argentinian top flight in the 201617 season. In 2019, he signed with Brighton & Hove Albion before a loan spell with Boca Juniors, where he secured the 201920 Primera División title. He fully established himself at Brighton during the 202122 season, making 33 Premier League appearances and scoring five goals.
