Alexis Mac Allister

An instrumental figure in Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup triumph, Alexis Mac Allister has since become a Premier League and Copa América champion, commanding the midfield for Liverpool FC and the Argentina national team. Mac Allister first made his senior debut for Argentinos Juniors in October 2016, quickly contributing to the team’s promotion to the Argentinian top flight in the 2016–17 season. In 2019, he signed with Brighton & Hove Albion before a loan spell with Boca Juniors, where he secured the 2019–20 Primera División title. He fully established himself at Brighton during the 2021–22 season, making 33 Premier League appearances and scoring five goals.

In November 2024, he was named man of the match in a decisive 2–0 win over Real Madrid, Liverpool’s first victory against the Spanish club in 15 years. He further showcased his playmaking abilities in December 2024, providing two assists in a comeback win against Leicester City. Mac Allister’s outstanding form in April 2025 earned him the Premier League Player of the Month award and Liverpool’s Player of the Month. That same month, he scored Liverpool’s second goal in a dominant 5–1 win over Tottenham Hotspur, ultimately securing the club’s second Premier League title and 20th overall English league title.

His exceptional contributions led to his inclusion in the PFA Team of the Year for 2024–25, and he received nominations for both the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and the prestigious 2025 Ballon d’Or, finishing 22nd overall.
