An San made history at the 2020 Summer Olympics by becoming the first archer to win three gold medals at a single Olympic Games. An accomplished graduate of Kwangju Women’s University, her early career demonstrated immense promise, securing a mixed team medal at the 2017 World Archery Youth Championships. Her international debut at the 2019 Archery World Cup in Berlin was remarkably successful, earning her gold in the women’s individual, gold in the mixed team, and bronze in the women’s team event. In 2020, she showcased consistent high performance by achieving an impressive score of 1400 in the WA 1440 Round.
