Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet

Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet, born on February 12, 1993, in Saint-Martin-d’Hères, France, embarked on a distinguished biathlon career marked by consistent performance and significant achievements. Her journey began with a strong junior record, securing two IBU YJWCH Silver medals and the 2013 IBU OECH Junior Individual Gold medal. Her quick rise led to her debut at the Sochi Olympic Winter Games in 2014, signaling the start of her impactful presence in the sport. Over her career, she participated in 231 World Cup starts, earning 23 individual podiums and 30 relay/mixed relay podiums.

The year 2016 marked a pivotal moment for Chevalier-Bouchet, with her career breakthrough at Nove Mesto na Moravě. She achieved her first-ever podium finish, securing second place in the sprint, followed by her first victory in the pursuit event on the subsequent day. Furthering her success, she earned three medals at the 2017 IBU World Championships. Her career demonstrated continued progression, including appearances at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, where she won a bronze medal in the 4×6 km relay.

Chevalier-Bouchet’s career also showcased a remarkable return to the sport after a break.
