Andre Gower is a familiar face to those in the market for cult eighties horror, known for his part in The Monster Squad which was released in 1987, and the heartfelt behind the scenes documentary, Wolfman’s Got Nards, focusing on the backstage experiences of the cast and crew working on The Monster Squad which was finished in 2018. Gower both wrote and directed the documentary, with interesting stories and discussions about the legacy, cult following and fans of the Monster Squad film and the documentary is currently touring film festivals and film/comic book conventions. He also had a role in the sweet yet short lived sit com TV show Fathers And Sons, which was on air in 1986.
Gower began his career in the world of Hollywood at the tender age of five years old with his first substantial role as Brookes Prentiss on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless from 1981 to 1982 before continuing with guest starring roles on The A-Team, T. J. Hooker, and The Wizard, to name but a few. In 1987, Gower starred in the comedy horror film The Monster Squad that many recognise him from to this day and still works extensively with fans of the show at multiple conventions each year. Later in 1987, Gower starred for two seasons on the Fox series Mr. President and from 1988 to 1989, he had a recurring role on The Hogan Family. Gower has since made use of his large experience in the film industry and currently spends his days coaching up and coming actors and backstage crew entering into the entertainment industry.
