United States Andre Gower has established a career spanning over four decades in film and television as an actor, producer, and director.

Andre Gower created and co-hosted the digital series "Short Ends" for Nerdist/Legendary Studios, co-hosting with Ryan Lambert.
Born Jon Andre Gower on April 27, 1973, in Los Angeles, California, Andre Gower began his acting career at the age of five. His early career included a notable role as Brooks Prentiss on “The Young and the Restless” from 1981 to 1982. He also appeared in various television shows such as “The A-Team,” “T. J. Hooker,” and “The Wizard.” In 1986, he co-starred with Piper Laurie in an episode of “The Twilight Zone” titled “The Burning Man.”
A significant milestone in Gower’s career came in 1987 with his role as Sean in the cult-classic horror film “The Monster Squad.” That same year, he starred for two seasons on the Fox series “Mr. President” alongside George C. Scott. From 1988 to 1989, Gower had a recurring role on “The Hogan Family.” He has continued to work in the industry, appearing in numerous films and television series, including “Isla Monstro” (2024), “The Demons Within” (2023), and “Retro Freaks” (2022).
Beyond acting, Gower has expanded his work into producing and directing. He produced and directed the award-winning documentary “Wolfman’s Got Nards” (2018), which explores the lasting impact and fan loyalty surrounding “The Monster Squad.” He also co-created and co-hosted the digital series “Short Ends” for Nerdist/Legendary Studios. Gower actively participates in various screenings, conventions, and special appearances related to “The Monster Squad” and also coaches aspiring actors.
