A two-time College Football Playoff National Champion with the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2015 and 2017, Anfernee Jennings developed into a formidable defensive force throughout his collegiate career. His standout performance culminated in him earning First-team All-SEC honors in 2019, showcasing his elite skills as an outside linebacker. Jennings also successfully completed degrees in human performance and exercise science, alongside public health, at the University of Alabama, before being selected by the New England Patriots in the third round (87th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. Jennings made his NFL debut in September 2020, quickly earning his first NFL start at linebacker against the Denver Broncos that same year.
Further solidifying his indispensable role in the 2024 season, Jennings played and started in all 16 games as an outside linebacker, showcasing exceptional consistency and impact. He set a new career high with 78 total tackles, coupled with 2.5 sacks, nine crucial quarterback hits, and a forced fumble, marking his most productive professional year to date. His consistent high-level play was recognized on March 14, 2024, when the New England Patriots re-signed him as an unrestricted free agent to a three-year, $12 million contract extension. Beyond the field, Jennings is committed to community initiatives, regularly participating in back-to-school sneaker and backpack giveaways for local youth and visiting Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
