About

Anthony Clark was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, on April 4, 1964. His early life included experiences on a tobacco farm in Gladys, Virginia. He pursued higher education at Emerson College, where he was named College Entertainer of the Year and graduated in 1986 with a degree in mass communications. Following his studies, Clark began his career in stand-up comedy, performing in venues across Los Angeles and gaining recognition for his humor.

Clark’s career progressed into acting, encompassing both film and television roles. He appeared in films such as “Dogfight” (1991) as Oakie, “The Thing Called Love” (1993) as Billy, and “The Rock” (1996) where he played Paul the Hotel Barber. His television journey included a recurring role on “Ellen” from 1995 to 1996, and main roles in the sitcoms “Boston Common” (1996-1997) as Boyd Pritchett, and “Soul Man” (1997-1998) as Rev. Todd Tucker. A significant milestone in his television career was his starring role as Greg Warner in the CBS sitcom “Yes, Dear,” which aired for 122 episodes from 2000 to 2006.

Expanding his professional activities, Clark hosted NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2006. He also showcased his writing and producing skills for his TV special “Anthony Clark: Ambiguous” (2012) and contributed as a writer to “Just for Laughs” (2010). His acting work continued with the film “My Uncle Rafael” (2012) as Jack. Throughout his career, Clark has demonstrated a consistent presence in entertainment, marked by diverse roles and creative contributions.
