Anthony Michael Hall

Anthony Michael Hall is an American actor, producer, and comedian recognized for his definitive roles in 1980s coming-of-age films and his subsequent transition into diverse television and film projects. After gaining initial notice with his role in the 1982 film Six Pack, Anthony Michael Hall’s career gained significant momentum when he was cast as Rusty Griswold in National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983). This pivotal role captured the attention of screenwriter John Hughes, leading to a defining series of collaborations. Hall starred as ‘The Geek’ in Sixteen Candles (1984), Brian Johnson in The Breakfast Club (1985), and Gary Wallace in Weird Science (1985), cementing his status as an iconic teenage actor of the decade.

More recently, Hall has continued to appear in prominent film and television projects, including his role as Mike Engel in The Dark Knight (2008) and appearances in Old Navy holiday commercials in 2012. He played General Greg Pulver in War Machine (2017), returned to a beloved horror franchise as Tommy Doyle in Halloween Kills (2021), and is set to appear as Zachary Beck in Reacher (2025).
