After earning first-team All-Pac-12 Conference honors from the Associated Press during his redshirt junior year in 2018, Ashtyn Davis showcased exceptional talent as a safety for the University of California, Berkeley Golden Bears. Originally a walk-on to the track and field team, Davis later joined the football team as a walk-on during his freshman year, steadily progressing to become a starting safety. In 2018, he recorded 56 tackles, five passes broken up, and four interceptions.
