Asia Hernandez

Asia Hernandez is a Barbadian-born artist who has made a career across music, acting, voice-over work, and choreography, contributing to various productions and brand campaigns. After capturing the attention of Kedar Massenberg, former President of Motown Records, Asia Hernandez went on to establish a multi-faceted career across music, acting, voice-over work, and choreography. Her foundation in vocal studies from New York City’s Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of The Arts led to early collaborations as a recording artist with influential figures like Afrika Bambaataa and Daddy O of Stetsasonic.

She also delivered a notable portrayal as the Lady In Yellow in ‘For Colored Girls’ at The Henry Street Settlement Theatre. Concurrently, Hernandez built a robust career as a voice-over artist and announcer, lending her voice to prominent New York radio stations including WKTU, WHTZ, and WWPR. Her impressive range includes voice impersonations of public figures such as Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Condoleezza Rice, Missy Elliot, and Lil Kim, alongside commercial campaigns for major retailers like Old Navy, Sean John Lounge Wear, Care1Debt Consolidators, and NYC Footcare. She was also featured in a national television commercial for Walgreens.

More recently, she was seen in ‘At Home with Amy Sedaris’ (2019). Asia Hernandez continues to expand her impressive portfolio with upcoming projects including ‘Night Rain In My Mother City,’ an NYU Film slated for 2024, and the anticipated feature film ‘The Register,’ currently in post-production.
