The lovable personality Mark Ferguson is a well-known Australian actor and TV presenter. He is most famous for his appearances in the award-winning Aussie soap Sons and Daughters, and for playing twins Darryl and Damian Neilson in the popular New Zealand soap Shortland Street. He also featured in the movies Spooked, and The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, and presented Big Brother Australia in the early noughties.
Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Ferguson grew up with a love for acting and performing. He attended the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney, and after graduating in 1981, made his acting debut shortly afterwards in the Aussie soap Sons and Daughters. He went on to forge a hugely successful acting career on TV in his native Australia and particularly in New Zealand, appearing in such productions as A Country Practice, The Rainbow Warrior, Shortland Street, Hercules in the Underworld, Xena: Warrior Princess (the American fantasy series filmed in New Zealand), Spin Doctors, and, of course, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
Ferguson regularly attends comic-cons and fan conventions where he connects with his huge fanbase in person.
